Indianapolis Metro area & Central Indiana Professional Radon Mitigation Services
We install highly effective radon mitigation systems to reduce your risk of lung cancer and help ensure that your home is as safe as possible for your family.
At ALARA Property Services, our goal is simple: to reduce your risk of lung cancer and create a safer, healthier home environment for you and your family.
Radon, a radioactive gas emitted from the natural decay of uranium in soil, may sound intimidating, but our friendly team is here to guide you through the process with care and expertise. Did you know that the World Health Organization (WHO) has classified radon as a Group 1 carcinogen? That means it's in the same category as asbestos and tobacco smoke in terms of its cancer-causing potential. With radon being the second leading cause of lung cancer, according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), it's crucial to take action.
Living in Indiana, where geological conditions often lead to elevated radon levels, makes mitigation even more important. But don't worry — our certified professionals are well-equipped to handle the challenge. We adhere to strict standards set by organizations like the Indiana Department of Health & the EPA National Radon Proficiency Program (NRPP), ensuring that your radon mitigation system is installed with precision and expertise.
By choosing ALARA Property Services for your radon mitigation needs, you're not just investing in a service; you're investing in the health and safety of your loved ones. Let us be your trusted partner in creating a healthier home environment. Contact us today to take the first step towards a safer future for your family.
Our team is highly trained, NRPP certified and fully licensed to perform Radon Mitigation in Indiana.
Anyone performing Radon Mitigation is required by law to be certified and licensed by the State of Indiana. When choosing a radon mitigation contractor, always be sure to request and verify their Indiana Radon Mitigator License # and status. Indiana Professional licensing can be verified by calling the Indiana Radon Hotline at (800) 272-9723
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) advises that if the radon level in your home is 4 pCi/L or higher, it should be fixed. Since there's no known safe level of radon exposure, they also suggest fixing levels between 2 pCi/L and 4 pCi/L. However, many radon mitigation contractors only guarantee reducing radon levels below 4 pCi/L. At ALARA, we go beyond this standard. We aim for the lowest possible radon levels to ensure your family's safety.
Our advanced mitigation techniques and diagnostic testing processes allow us to attain the lowest radon levels achievable. You can breathe easy knowing your home and family will be protected from the increased risks of lung cancer associated with exposure to elevated levels of radon gas.
ALARA Property Services guarantees our radon reduction systems to be free from mechanical defects caused by faulty materials or workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of installation. Our radon fans carry a five-year manufacturer’s warranty. All warranties are assigned to the property address and are fully transferable with the sale of the property.
Our promise is to reduce your home's radon levels to As Low As Reasonably Achievable or "ALARA" (often below 0.5 pCi/L). We stand by that promise with a Guarantee to Reduce Radon Levels to 1.9 pCi/L or below.*

I am purchasing a home that has tested high for radon. How can I be certain the seller will choose a quality radon mitigation contractor?Often, home sellers will choose a contractor with the lowest bid rather than choosing a quality contractor when making this decision. ALARA Property Services is not interested in taking shortcuts or corner-cutting to be the lowest bid, when it comes to the health of you and your family. We mitigate your home as if it were our own, aiming to reduce indoor radon concentrations to the lowest level achievable. As a home buyer, you should insist that ALARA install a personalized mitigation system in your new home so you can be confident in the safety of your family for years to come. Another option may be to request that the seller reduce the price of the home so that you may have a top-quality radon reduction system installed.
